‘Bob’s Burgers’: The “Ghost”

If you’ve never seen Bob’s Burgers, it’s a cartoon about a family who runs the eponymous burger restaurant. If you haven’t seen it, seriously, what are you waiting for? It’s amazing. Jordan Peele has guest voiced eight times.

Anywho, in the season 9 episode “Roller? I Hardly Knew Her!” matriarch Linda, patriarch Bob, and their best customer Teddy discuss a woman parked across the street staring at the restaurant:

Linda: “Bob, Teddy. She’s back. The lady in the car. And she is definitely staring at me.”

Teddy: “Creepy. You know what I think she is? She’s one of those ghosts who doesn’t know she’s dead. “

Bob: “Oh, you mean dumb ghosts?”

Teddy: “Happens all the time. Probably, her husband got killed right out there on the sidewalk, right? Just walking along and, boom, attacked and killed by a tiger.”

Bob: “But isn’t she supposed to be the ghost?”

Teddy: “Yes, Bob. She died many years later, of natural causes. But she never got over her husband’s tiger death, so she just sits there in her car, waiting to see him.”

Linda: “And she never gets to exercise, so she put on ten ghost pounds.”

The woman just turns out to be agoraphobic and trying to face her fears of being out in public, but the way Linda and Teddy set each other off with their crazy theories is priceless. Ghost pounds!

I wuvs the horror movies and like to write snarky reviews about them. I also included some pretentious as hell microfiction (don't worry, it's at the bottom).
